Selby MP Keir Mather has broken ground on the new Selby SEND School located in Osgodby, North Yorkshire. South View Academy will offer specialist teaching for 100 children, aged 3-19 with special education needs (SEND). The school will be run by the Wellspring Academy Trust, which currently runs 33 schools across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Selby MP Keir Mather visited York Hospital last week, and met with Clare Smith, the new Chief Executive of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust who joined the organisation in November. It follows positive news about falling NHS waiting lists, which now stand at their lowest level since 2023.
