Here to help you

MPs function mainly as legislators, travelling to Westminster each week to scrutinise and vote on legislation and represent their constituencies in Parliament. But the reason I decided to stand for election was to make a difference in any way I can, and so responding to issues that local people raise with me is incredibly important to me.

With the help of my dedicated team in Selby, I deal with hundreds of these requests each week - whether they're made by email, telephone or in writing. I try to take up any issue whether it's big or small because it's my responsibility to support anyone in our community who might need a helping hand, and so even if I can't promise the outcome that a constituent wants, I'll always support them in having their say.

If something is related to the Government, whether that be HMRC, the DWP, the Home Office or the NHS then I'm the best port of call to escalate your concerns. If the issue you've got relates to your local Council, I'll be happy to pass your concerns on, and you can read more about how I interact with North Yorkshire Council here.

My team and I hold regular events across the constituency where you can come and speak to me about any issue you might have. I thought I'd list a few of the things we've helped local people with below, but these aren't everything I can help with so please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you ever need my support!
