As many are aware, I’m continuing my campaign for improvements to the phone signal in the Selby area.

My last update in September shared the responses I received from Vodafone, O2, Three and EE after I wrote to them about improving the service. Their responses were nowhere near good enough.

I’ve since had a meeting with the Minister for Digital Infrastructure, Chris Bryant MP. He also represents a largely rural constituency and so knows about these challenges firsthand.

As we all know, it’s not possible for the government to step in and immediately improve the service offered by private providers, but the Minister did suggest that I write to Ofcom to ask that they review how accurate the operators’ understanding of their own service is.

I've since done this, asking Ofcom to review the service in Selby. The reasoning behind this is simple - what the operators tell me simply doesn’t match up to what we all experience day in, day out in Selby.
